Another shy material that surprises when used, Vetival is a clean replacer of Vetiver when other complex base notes are already part of the formula. It is a wonderful way to add a dry grass accord, without the extreme dryness of Vetiver roots. It adds a green complexity to Labdanum and/ or Cistus notes and it reinforces the dry green aspects of a rose;I suspect it could be a great extender for Vetiver or could be a great modifier for Patchouli or Oud.
