This is great very disfussive...leather, Woody animalistic great tenacity...needs to be warmed in a hot water bath to make mobile. Is not soluble in oil but will lend it's scent vert well. You must warm the Abs and the oil place a half of gram in the oil let stand untill the oil is cold, let marinate for a couple of days swirl gently oil will take on a tanish color this is the inparted scent decant in to bottle enjoy.

I was hesitant at first, because this came in a small jar and it appeared solid. The smell straight out of the jar was strange, almost fecal. I took a little bit out on a stick & mixed a pinhead amount with .5 ml of Creating Perfuming's perfumer's alcohol. Shook it all up in a small amber bottle & let it rest for about 1.5 hours. RESULTS - AMAZING!! Dark, deep leather. I cannot wait to incorporate this with some masculine scent. This is one of the best I've tried. No longer the need to purchase "Leather" from other suppliers. GOOD ONE!
Amazing stuff

Just received my order and this material really stands out, it has such a rich, smokey character only much deeper, I can detect an almost fruity nuance to it. Haven't had the chance to work with it in dilution yet, but I can tell it will be a key constituent in any masculine, leathery accord, heck, I'm sure it will also add a sensual depth, and volume, to any feminine accord as well, just have to dose it properly. I shall experiment, but am truly excited to have found this precious material. Thanks Creating Perfume!
Truly outstanding

Castoreum has been my favorite material ever since I started dabbling in perfumery. Sadly high quality castereum extracts are hard to come by for people only looking for very small quantities like me. My first exposure was to the IFF castoreum blend (allegedly 1:1 benzyl benzoate and castoreum absolute), which was quite nice, but I found myself looking for alternatives. I eventually got into tincturing my own castor - you can buy ground castor (with oils) or dry castor from trapper supplies. The tinctures present different facets of castor, which I also enjoy. This is the first unadulterated castoreum absolute I get to try and I have to say I am in love with it. Upon proper dilution in alcohol, this absolute showcases all of my favorite facets of castoreum, and I love how dramatically its smell profile changes through time: from the almost pungent, leathery opening to the sweet (almost fruity) and delicate drydown. This is the best I've tried.
