Great musk material

This is a must-have macrocyclic musk. It's actually 'isoambrettolide' and is one of the few 'top note' musks, although it is quite a large molecule (C-16) and can be somewhat difficult for some to detect. The trick is to train your nose to it neat, and in dilution both on and off the skin. I was a bit hyposmic to it initially but after some concentrated effort to fully appreciate its virtues, I can detect it much easier now. I like it in combination with other top note musks like Helvetolide. I would consider it more of a 'white' musk material, cleaner, not so much 'animal', although it works very well in combination with any musk material.
