subtly orange, musty soap

subtly orange, musty, slightly soap
slight labdanum-like effect
Someone said this was "tea-like", I can see that but it's very subtle/faint. I'd agree with the "dusty" description; it's sort of dusty in the same sort of way other things smell powdery.
This also feels a bit "stuffy".
This is the type of thing that would provide a background in a fragrance, to anchor things.

Strange but strangely beautiful dusty tea.

I love this stuff, but I don't understand it. It's a dusty and dry material that feels like it would work in a tea scent, a rose scent, or it would anchor labdanum—that is if labdanum needed any anchoring. I think it'll work well with frankincense to produce a spooky, liturgical thing, but you need to use quite a bit as, even though it smells strong, it doesn't stick around that long. A great but strange material that I'm still coming to terms with.
