Low odor profile, but crucial

This is one of those materials that doesn't carry much scent on its own (at least to my nose), but is a necessary building block in most every perfume base, regardless of type...it adds a clean, balsamic note and enhances any accord, rounds it out and gives it a structural volume but in a subtle way...some are able to smell it better, to me it has a very faint yet clean, balsamic nuance to it...but, in solution, completes the composition and adds body as well as substance...to be honest, I hadn't used it all that much in the past, but since I have, I've noticed my compositions have much more body and it's easier to find my direction with regard to modifiers/blenders I get inspired to utilize...I guess sometimes the person with the softest voice, can often get the best results...so, I no longer judge a 'book' by its cover...Hah! Who knew? Thankfully, I do....finally!
